Tony Prichard produces all Dolbel Estate wines. Establishing and developing his winemaking skills at Church Road Wines, Tony was involved with grapes from Dolbel Estate site. He is well familiar with the Hawke’s Bay region, in which the grapes for Dolbel Estate wines are grown, and has established a strong reputation for producing outstanding and distinctive Hawke’s Bay wines.
Tony graduated from Massey University with a Food Technology (Honours) degree in 1982, and became a winemaker immediately afterwards. In 1990, he moved to Hawke’s Bay to oversee the first vintage at Church Road Winery, where he remained as chief winemaker for over a decade. He now divides his time between winemaking and his passion for cabinet making and stained glass.
